Central Pattaya Guest-Friendly Hotels: Area Guide & Top Vetted Picks
Central Pattaya is the middle of everything: Beach Road on one side, Second Road on the other, Central Festival and Terminal 21 for shopping, and Soi 6 in between. A 15 baht bus loop runs past almost every hotel here, so the beach, the malls and the Walking Street end are all a short ride away. On a first trip, this is the easiest place to start.
Vetted Central Pattaya Hotels
All six hotels below are guest-friendly, and we’ve checked each one in person. Where a hotel gave us its policy in writing, we quote it word for word; where we confirmed it at the front desk, we say so. Read the occupancy rules closely, because two of these hotels charge for a visitor once a room is registered to two adults.

1. March Hotel
Price tier: $ (budget, up to 1,200 Baht) · Stars: 3★
Amenities: WiFi · TV · Safe (too small for a laptop) · Fridge · Gym · Pool
Guest policy, confirmed verbally at the front desk:
“Up to one guest permitted; visitor leaves ID card at reception during their stay.”
Baht Bus Distance:
- Second Road: 260 m (4 minute walk)
- Beach Road: 650 m (9 minute walk)
Our take. March Hotel is a budget base in Central Pattaya with a pool, gym, fridge and in-room safe at this price. The guest policy is simple: one visitor at a time, with their ID held at reception until they leave.
The safe is too small for a laptop, so keep yours with you or ask reception what they can hold. We got the policy verbally rather than in writing, so send the hotel a quick message before you book.

2. Travelodge Pattaya
Price tier: $ (budget, up to 1,200 Baht) · Stars: 3★
Amenities: WiFi · TV · Safe (fits a laptop) · Fridge · Gym · Pool
Guest policy, in the hotel’s words:
“There is no joiner fee for an additional adult visitor/overnight guest. However, for security purposes, we kindly require the visitor to present their Thai ID card or passport at the Front Desk. The identification document will be kept securely at the reception and returned to the visitor upon departure.”
Baht Bus Distance:
- Second Road: 120 m (3 minute walk)
- Beach Road: 520 m (7 minute walk)
- Soi Buakhoa: 200 m (3 minute walk)

Our take. Travelodge is a medium-sized hotel on Soi 15 at Second Road, about an 8-minute walk to the beach and roughly 700 metres from Central Festival. The Avenue mall is close by, and a small soi gives you a short cut through to LK Metro. It has 164 non-smoking rooms and an outdoor pool, with standard rooms at a compact 18 to 20 m² and triple and quad family rooms up to 38 m².
It’s a convenient spot. The hotel sits between Central Pattaya and the Soi Buakhao area, and we’ve listed it here because Second Road is so easy to reach. There are some bars nearby, but the rooms are quiet. It isn’t wheelchair friendly.
It has the clearest written policy on this page: no joiner fee, including for an overnight guest, with the visitor’s ID held at the desk until they leave. The safe takes a laptop. At check-in you’ll need photo ID and a credit card in the booking name.

3. April Suites
[Insert Exterior Photo]
Price tier: $ (budget, up to 1,200 Baht) · Stars: 3★
Amenities: WiFi · TV · Safe (size varies by room) · Fridge · Gym · Pool
Guest policy, confirmed verbally at the front desk:
“Up to one guest permitted; visitor leaves ID card at reception during their stay.”
Baht Bus Distance:
- Second Road: 110 m (2 minute walk)
- Beach Road: 600 m (9 minute walk)
Our take. April Suites is another budget pick with a pool and gym. Its policy matches March Hotel’s: one visitor, with their ID held at reception.
Safe sizes vary between rooms, so if you travel with a laptop, ask for a room with a bigger safe when you book. Like March, the policy came to us verbally, so get it in writing from the hotel before you arrive.

4. Page 10 Hotel
Price tier: $$ (mid-range) · Stars: 4★
Amenities: WiFi · TV · Safe (size varies by room) · Fridge · Gym · Pool
Guest policy, confirmed verbally at the front desk:
“Up to one guest permitted (500 Baht fee note or conditional verification); visitor leaves ID card at reception during their stay.”
Baht Bus Distance:
- Second Road: 60 m (1 minute walk)
- Beach Road: 230 m (3 minute walk)

Our take. Page 10 is a smaller boutique hotel opposite Central Festival, two or three minutes’ walk from the beach and five from the mall, yet it sits in a quiet spot. It has 79 rooms, a fairly modern lobby, a garden pool, a fitness room with treadmills, a Sky Bar and a digital safe in every room.
There’s a bar and restaurant on site, and you can add breakfast when you book the room. It isn’t wheelchair friendly.
The guest policy may involve a 500 Baht charge, and the desk didn’t make the conditions clear. Ask the hotel in writing whether the fee applies to your booking before you commit, especially if the room is registered to two people.

5. LK The Empress
Price tier: $$ (mid-range) · Stars: 4★
Amenities: WiFi · TV · Safe (size varies by room) · Fridge · Gym · Pool
Guest policy, in the hotel’s words:
“1 room stay 1 adult can bring 1 guest without extra charge. If 1 room stay 2 adults, have to pay extra 500 THB more (per person). Visitors must drop ID card or passport at the front desk every time.”
Baht Bus Distance:
- Second Road: 230 m (3 minute walk)
- Beach Road: 20 m (1 minute walk)

Our take. LK The Empress is a mid-range hotel a minute’s walk from Beach Road, with an ornate lobby, a pool, a gym and an in-room safe. There are a few small bars on the soi, but the hotel stays quiet for its location. It isn’t wheelchair friendly.
Its policy states the occupancy rule more plainly than most. If you book as one adult, one visitor is free. If you book as two adults, any visitor costs 500 Baht per person.
The visitor leaves their ID at the front desk on every visit, not just the first. Safe sizes vary by room, so ask for a bigger one if you carry a laptop.

6. Somerset Pattaya
Price tier: $$$ (upper mid-range to luxury) · Stars: 5★
Amenities: WiFi · TV · Safe (too small for a laptop) · Fridge · Gym · Pool
Guest policy, in the hotel’s words:
“For security purposes, all visitors are required to present a valid ID or passport and register at the Front Desk before visiting a guest in the hotel. We do not keep guests’ IDs during their stay. The ID is only checked for registration purposes and returned afterward.”
Baht Bus Distance:
- Second Road: hotel on Second Rd
- Beach Road: 350 m (5 minute walk)

Our take. Somerset is a large, modern serviced residence on Second Road, directly opposite Central Festival and about 450 metres from the beach. The building is set back from the road, so expect your room to be quieter than the address suggests. It has 324 units, from 35 m² rooms up to three-bedroom apartments of 135 m².
The suites have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, which makes this the best long-stay option on the page. The lobby is a cut above the rest of this list, and the hotel has wheelchair access.
There’s a rooftop pool on the 23rd floor, a gym, 24-hour security, key card access and a free hotel shuttle that runs to Walking Street. It also has a 24th-floor water park and a kids’ playroom, so expect families. Visitors register with ID at the front desk, and the hotel hands it straight back instead of holding it. The safe is too small for a laptop.

Atmosphere & Vibe
Central Pattaya is the busy core of the city. Beach Road runs along the sand, Second Road runs parallel a block inland, and the sois between them are packed with hotels, bars, restaurants and massage shops. Central Festival and Terminal 21 are both in the zone, so shopping, cinemas and air-conditioned food courts are never far away.
It’s loud, and it rarely goes quiet. That works well for first-timers and short stays, because the beach, the malls and the nightlife are all on your doorstep and you never have to plan a trip across town.
Pros and Cons of Staying in Central Pattaya
Pros
- The beach, malls, restaurants and bars are all a few minutes’ walk apart.
- The 15 Baht bus loop runs constantly along Beach Road and Second Road.
- Central Festival and Terminal 21 cover everything from groceries to cinemas.
- Soi 6 is in the zone, and Walking Street and LK Metro are a short ride away.
- Hotels range from 1,200 Baht budget rooms to a serviced residence with a rooftop pool.
Cons
- Traffic on Beach Road and Second Road, and bar music on the sois, carry on until late.
- Pavements are crowded, and Second Road gets congested at peak times.
- Two hotels on this page charge for a visitor once two adults are registered, so check before you book.
- For long, quiet stays and calm evenings, Jomtien suits you better.
Nightlife in Central Pattaya
Most of the city’s nightlife is within walking distance of Central Pattaya, or a single baht bus ride away.
- Beach Road has beach bars, restaurants and the promenade. It’s busy most evenings but more relaxed than the sois.
- Second Road and its sois are lined with bar complexes, pubs and restaurants.
- Soi 6 is a short bar street running between Beach Road and Second Road at the north end of the zone. It’s busiest in the afternoon and early evening, and it winds down while the rest of the city warms up.
- LK Metro, the L-shaped bar alley off Soi Buakhao, is about 10 to 15 minutes’ walk inland from Second Road, or a quick Grab.
- Walking Street is at the south end of Beach Road, a few minutes away on the baht bus.
For a first trip where you want everything close, this is the zone. If you want the nightlife without the noise, ask for a room on a high floor at the back.
Getting Around: Baht Bus Routes
Central Pattaya has the best baht bus coverage in the city. One continuous 15 Baht loop runs south along Beach Road, north along Second Road, and back round the Dolphin Roundabout.
- For the beach or Walking Street, flag a truck heading south on Beach Road. It runs the length of the beach to the Walking Street end.
- For Terminal 21 or North Pattaya, flag a truck heading north on Second Road.
- For Soi Buakhao and LK Metro, ride the loop to South Pattaya Road and change to a Soi Buakhao truck, or take a short Grab.
- For Jomtien, ride the loop to the stop on Second Road just south of the South Pattaya Road junction and change to the 20 Baht Jomtien truck.
Raise your hand to flag a truck, press the buzzer to stop, and pay the driver as you get off. Don’t ask “how much to X” before you climb in, or you’ll be quoted a private charter price. Trucks run until around midnight and thin out after 10 p.m.; after that, use Grab or Bolt.
Supplies & Convenience
Nowhere in Pattaya has more on hand. There’s a 7-Eleven or FamilyMart on almost every corner of Beach Road and Second Road, and the sois between them are lined with currency exchange booths, pharmacies, massage shops and restaurants.
For groceries, use the supermarkets inside Central Festival and Terminal 21. Exchange booths line Beach Road and Second Road, and both malls have bank branches. Street food, Thai restaurants and international chains are every few metres.
Noise & Convenience: Where to Sleep
Noise is the main trade-off here. Traffic, music and late-night foot traffic come with the location, so where your room sits in the building matters more than which street the hotel is on.
| Spot | Noise Profile | Good For |
|---|---|---|
| Beach Road | Traffic and promenade crowds; calmer on high floors | Sea views, beach access |
| Second Road | Heavy traffic day and night | Malls, fastest baht bus access |
| Soi 6 and nearby sois | Bar music from afternoon into the evening | Nightlife on foot |
| Quieter side sois | Moderate | Walkability with less noise |
Ask for a high floor facing away from the main road. You keep the convenience and lose most of the noise.
Central Pattaya FAQ
Is Central Pattaya walkable to the beach? Yes. Page 10 is two or three minutes from the sand, Somerset about 450 metres, and Travelodge about eight minutes on foot. From anywhere in the zone, the beach is rarely more than a 10-minute walk.
How do single vs. double occupancy rules affect guest policies here? It depends on the hotel. At LK The Empress, a room booked for one adult can bring one visitor free, but a room booked for two adults pays 500 Baht per visitor. Page 10 may also charge 500 Baht. If you plan to have a visitor, book the room for one adult and get the policy confirmed in writing.
Is there a joiner fee at these hotels? Travelodge confirmed in writing that there’s no fee, including for an overnight guest. March Hotel and April Suites stated no charge verbally. LK The Empress and Page 10 may charge 500 Baht depending on occupancy. Somerset didn’t mention a fee, so ask.
Do all these hotels hold the visitor’s ID? Five of the six hold it at reception until the visitor leaves. Somerset registers the ID and hands it straight back.
How many visitors can I bring? March Hotel, April Suites, Page 10 and LK The Empress allow one visitor at a time. Travelodge and Somerset didn’t state a limit.
How do I get to Walking Street from Central Pattaya? Take the 15 Baht bus south along Beach Road to the Walking Street end, a few minutes’ ride. Somerset also runs a free shuttle there. After 10 p.m., use Grab or Bolt.
Which hotel is best for keeping a laptop secure? Travelodge has a confirmed laptop-size safe. Page 10, April Suites and LK The Empress have safes that vary by room, so ask for a bigger one. The safes at March Hotel and Somerset are too small.
Is Central Pattaya good for long stays? It can be, especially at Somerset with its kitchens and washer-dryers. For quieter evenings and lower long-term rates, though, Jomtien is the better fit.
